Creating Notifications
Quick links in this article:
As an Admin, you can create custom notifications to display to your agents in their notification centre - this is a useful way to provide urgent, shift-relevant information as soon as the agent logs in. Typical use cases might include:
Reminders regarding policy changes - for example, if timescales for delivery have been changed
Updates regarding supply chain issues, such as a product shortage or courier failure
Individual and team performance recognition
etc.
Getting started
As an Admin, navigate to Configuration > Advanced > Notifications
and click + Add
to create a new notification.
The options for your notification include:
Recipient - Select Company or specific Teams
Team - You will only see this field if Teams is selected on the recipient option. This will provide a dropdown selector for all Teams on the domain
Priority - This will determine the logo and colour of the notifications to a user - red for High and purple for Normal.
Title - Max 30 characters
Body title - A text input box for your notification content, with a max of 350 characters
URL - (Optional)
Show Notification From/Until - Date Pickers
Once the relevant fields are filled in, the option to Send will appear at the top.
Scheduling notifications
By using the Show Notification From field, you can schedule a notification to appear after a specific date and time - the notification will be presented at the time selected.
We’d also recommend always setting an Until date, to avoid notifications building up for your agents and causing confusion when they are no longer relevant.
If the date/time is not set, the notification will display straight away.
Manage Notifications
Notifications in your list will be styled according to their status:
Published Notifications will have a green notification icon to the left.
Pending Notifications will have a light blue notification icon to the left.
Expired Notifications will have a grey notification icon to the left.
Use the Filter icon on the right to filter your view to the notification statuses you’re interested in:
Edit notifications
Before a notification has been published, you can edit the following: As a Gnatta Admin, given that you select a notification that is pending you will be able to edit the following:
Title
Body
URL
Importance
Schedule
Expiration
Once a notification has been published, you’ll only be able to edit the Expiration time/date.
Check notification views
Once a notification has been published you should see a second tab on the notification called Recipients. This tab will display a list of users who have read the notification. This will be ordered by name and will also show the date/time that they read the notification.
Expire a notification
Once you select a published notification you should see an expire option in the header. Once you select Expire its status will be changed in the list on the left.
